Hand off streaming to another operator
Send a private setup link so someone else can run the camera — no Shori account needed on their end.
When to use this guide
Use this when a parent, assistant coach, or volunteer will film a game instead of you.
Steps
- 1Open Streaming setup from the dashboard.
- 2In the share section, give the link a name so you can tell it apart (for example, "Coach Dave's phone").
- 3Create the share link and copy it.
- 4Send it to your operator by text or email.
- 5They open it on their phone, install Larix, and tap to connect — same one-tap setup you use.
Staying in control
- Each link is named, so you always know who has one.
- Links expire on their own, and revoking one stops anyone who hasn't opened it yet.
- A phone that's already been set up from a link keeps streaming until you reset the team's stream key, so only share links with people you trust.
- Your operator never needs a Shori login — the link is all they need.
Keep the link private
A setup link connects a phone to your team's stream, so treat it like a key. Only send it to people you want streaming your games. Revoking a link blocks anyone who hasn't opened it yet; if a phone was already configured from it, use Reset stream key on the Streaming setup page to fully cut it off. Reset disconnects every phone and turns off all links at once, so you then re-share fresh links to the people who should keep access.
Common mistakes
- Posting a setup link publicly instead of sending it to one person.
- Forgetting to revoke a link after a one-time fill-in.
- Not naming links, then losing track of who has which.
